Text in 3 D, or simple (2D) text on an objekt?
Hi specialists :-)
is there any way to create a text and put that directly on the surface of an object? 2D (would be o.k. this time) or real 3D (would be nice for future needs..)
If not, what is the best way to create a 3D text as OBJ file - I want it for a billboard (respectively a name-plate and logo), what looks nicer in real 3 D.
Just guessing: I have to learn to create a 3D text in Photoshop and try to import that in SW3D, or is there any simpler way?
If this Photoshop creation is the solution, I ask on top: Is there a tutorial to find - especially for the export (from PS) and the import (into SW3D)?

You may display a text in 3D since the version 5.0 by selecting the Visible in 3D view option in its modification pane. If you want to adjust the depth of the characters, you'll have to assemble letters of the word you want to write, using 3D models of letters like the ones cited in this article.
