Difference between stories, levels and floors
Hi,
I am new to this wonderful Sweet Home program. I read some docs and don't quite understand what's the difference between "stories", "levels" and "floors".

Re: Difference between stories, levels and floors
From a technical point of view SH3D has only levels and rooms (which are two completely different things).
The user guide uses stories and floors to designate different meanings for the more common english word "floors" (I think this is mainly due to the fact that the developer is French and in this language it is more common to distinguish between stories and floors):
Both the above are implemented with the same thing in SH3D: the levels.
- Floor instead, is the physical object where you walk (tiles, parquet, etc...) and is a subpart of a room in SH3D. Rooms groups together both floors and ceilings; a room always have a floor, while the ceiling is optional.
The floor elevation is always equal to the one of the level it belongs to.
