Re: Forum: Notifications
well, that is about as clear as mud.
1. it looks like it sets up some 'Watches' automatically (which is fine).
2. they are all set to 'System Default' - which would also be fine - IF we knew what that was! also all these default Watches - but i do not get a single email notification. huh? what? is the undocumented System Default 'Never'?
and it is not clear what the other two options listed (apart from System Default) are exactly
3. in setting up new Watches, for Category etc Watches, you get a drop-down for selecting; BUT for Threads, which i would guess would be most common - there is NO drop-down or autofill. so i am not sure how you are meant to complete that.
4. i see no options for frequency, eg instantly, daily, weekly, etc

Re: Forum: Notifications
2. The Watch type "System Default" actually means that you'll receive a digest of the new posts in the watched threads (as opposed as full posts I guess). But if you don't receive any notification, it's probably because it ends in your spams or that your mail server refuses mails coming from this server. As you received at least the registration mail, it sounds astonishing but each mail server can have its own configuration.
3. A thread can be watched thanks to the Watch icon show at the top of a thread.
4. The frequency can be set only globally and has been set hourly for the past years.

*** the two other options are 'Digest' and 'Non-Digest'. Digest would suggest Summary.

*** i checked the email address i used several times. i cannot see any small mistake. and as long as the domain itself is correct, i would get it. so this remains a mystery ftb.
*** btw, i don't get 'spam' - by which i mean i see every email i get. no spam folder.

*** noted. ty. hmm. i wil try a new one and see if any email turns up (of course it has to have some activity :-))

Use the Quote tool available in the Preview screen.

you mean not a User setting?
Yes
Sorry, I can't guess why notifications don't reach you. Maybe change temporarily your email in your profile to check if it works better.
