Is there a way to add polylines to the materials list? Visiblity?

Is there a way to add polylines to the materials list,
so they can be grouped together and made [x] visible or [ ]invisible?

Is there way to hide items in the material list from a printout? For example an element that never needs to be purchased or is part of another item?

For the first question you may place the polylines in another level at same elevation, which you can hide.
Another option is to use Wirings (plugin) in place of polylines, which visibility can be changed by color/style.
