Re: disorganized imported furniture

Yudi,

I downloaded and imported your model. Unfortunately this is a rather common problem with 3DS files. They look as if exploded.

I know of one possible solution: import the model in Blender, then export it again as OBJ file. Sometimes this solves the problem, but there's no guarantee.

Re: disorganized imported furniture

Yudi,

It seems there are several "dialects" in 3DS and OBJ files, depending on the program that generates them. That's what causes the problem of the exploded or disorganized models.

If you have imported your office chair in Blender, and the model does not look like it should, then I'm afraid I don't know how to solve your problem. I have tried the same trick myself a few times: sometimes it resulted in a correctly loaded and displayed model, that I could export as OBJ and then use in SH3D. But, more than once, Blender couldn't display the model correctly either.

Maybe you can find out who is the creator of the model, and ask for help?
