lights question
I have a question about using the lights in SH3D 3.0: When I render the scene (using the Best or next to Best setting) There is now a huge light/white spot on the ceiling. I used the Halogen light (the same light that was used for the beta tests) and have it set to 25% power. I hadn't noticed the spot on the ceiling caused by the light before. Is that a new problem? I'll have to play around with the other lights to see if that still happens.
I'll attach a rendered pic to show you.

(Notice strong light on ceiling. I have even lowered it so that it's not right up against the ceiling.)

Re: lights question
Wouldn't you have forgotten to unselect Add ceiling lights check box?

Re: lights question
pencilart,
Indeed, lights tend to show bright white spots on ceilings, especially if the light is placed closed to the ceiling. There are a few things you can do: - place the light lower, obviously; - make the light larger, so that it seems softer; - make your ceiling (and walls) Matte so that the bright spot is not, or less, visible.

Re: lights question
ok, I'll try those things. Thanks!
Edit: the light is now 4 feet 6 inches (I guess that means from the floor?) the ceiling was already set to matt the light is now huge, lol, but it does now look softer.

Re: lights question
Are you sure you changed the right side of the wall? Do you the color or texture change in the 3D view ?
