Can't Delete Furniture
Apologies first. I'm a newbie, but I did search before posting.
I downloaded Sweet Home 3D on my MacBook. I completed my room (walls, windows, doors) and began adding furniture.
One of the fantastic benefits of using the program is discovering what will and won't fit into a space. The program has shown me that I cannot fit a particular piece of furniture into a room. However, I can't delete the furniture now! Not by selecting, then choosing Edit->Delete. Not by selecting in the menu on the left and pressing the delete key.
In fact, I can't seem to delete any furniture once added. The pieces are not part of the "base plan" so I'm stumped.

Re: Can't Delete Furniture
The Edit > Delete menu item is enabled to delete selected items in plan only when the plan or the furniture list has the focus (is there a colored ring around the plan?). Ensure they have the focus by clicking in them or using the tab key.

Re: Can't Delete Furniture
Emmanuel, unfortunatly, i have to report the very same bug here (with 3.0). "Sometimes" i simply can't delete (remove) a furniture item from the current plan. Sh3d "responses" like i actually have deleted something, but after a second i can dblclick the object again - it never disappeared. It is always a big project compared to my Macs memory, and i solve that by: saving plan, quit sh3d, reload sh3d, reload plan, THEN delete the item again (and save again). it's a memory/undo issue, imho. The undo is stacked up and never being freed until quit (on Mac only, i'm afraid). it is not that bad, only anoying. maybe already fixed with 3.1? Also, it seems to be mostly impossible to group lights and door/window objects.
