Mirror Entire Design
I built my house with a south facing window for sunlight for my plants. I have since decided to re-position my house and that south facing window will no longer be south. Is there a way to mirror a design with your program without re-doing the entire thing? Basically I just want to flip the design 180 degrees on one axis and 0 degrees on the other.

Andy,
There are two simple ways to mirror the house: - finalize your design - choose 3D view --> Export to OBJ format - now do Furniture --> Import furniture - insert the model into a new design - modify the model and check Mirrored shape The downside of this method is that you cannot edit your design anymore.
The other method is similar, but you need to have the plug-in CopyAsNewFurniture (PDF) installed. - select the part of your design that you want to see mirrored - now choose Tools --> Copy as new furniture - choose Paste and the copy will be inserted at exactly the same spot - move the copy to the side - modify the copy and check Mirrored shape - you now have the original and the mirrored copy side by side
Unfortunately no method exists that allows you to mirror the original and keep editing.

Thanks for the quick response, not being able to edit the design isn't the end of the world. Just being able to see it inverted on the 3d model really helps. To answer your question puybaret if I just rotated the compass then my front door would open into the woods instead of onto my driveway. It's why I wanted to mirror only one Axis and not just rotate the house which would be mirroring both Axis.
I noticed that if I selected all the furniture I could mirror just the furniture, but not the walls. If I wanted an editable design I could just make a new set of opposing walls copy and paste all the furniture, move it over the new wall set, then mirror it. That takes a bit more work but gives me an editable mirror when I'm done.
Having a 1 or 2 click way to do this would be a cool addition to the program. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has changed his mind about house positioning.

Here's an other easier way: - download the AdvancedEditing plugin from here, - double-click on it to install it, - select everything you want to mirror, - choose Edit > Resize menu item, - enter the opposite height in the Resize dialog.
This way of doing may require some adjustments on doors location, round walls... though.

This is an amazing trick!! First of all I was amazed that it works. Secondly I was amazed that it doesn't work perfectly, because there seems to be no logical explanation why one door mirrors correctly, and the other doesn't.

PS: Where Emmanuel says "opposite" he means "negative". If the Height is "100", make it "-100".
