Re: How can I create wall skirting and color it?
Fanyam,
The "new" way to create skirting, or two-coloured walls, is to use the new Levels feature, available in the current 3.4 beta versions .
- Draw your wall(s) on Level 1. - Create a new level and draw the same wall(s) again. - Give the wall(s) on Level 1 and Level 2 a different colour or texture.
Read the info in the thread I pointed to, to learn more on how to use this feature, and to download examples.

Re: How can I create wall skirting and color it?
fanyam, I would simply use long boxes (from Miscellaneous category) placed along the wall. Hans, even if it could work, levels weren't designed as a workaround for skirting! What would be the advantage of using them compared to simple boxes?

I agree with the box idea. In the example, I set the depth of the bow to 1", height to 48", and imported the image of a tile wainscot to the same height so it wouldnt repeat. The wainscot looks dimensional even though it's flat because the photo was of tile and a chair rail.
I use boxes, spheres, and cylinders for all kinds of things
Oh well. This forum doesnt allow local photos I guess. Use your imagination to see what I did.
