merge many files in one?

Hello,

Before version 3.4 I simply did a few files for the different floors of my house and the future extension of it. Is there a way to merge them all together now? It's basically 3 files: the original first floor that is about 4ft above ground, the garage, at ground level, and the second floor that will cover the two first file's widths together. I hoped simply copy and pasting would suffice, but no go.

Thanks
K

Re: merge many files in one?

Yes, you can do that. It's a simple Copy & Paste action.
1 - Open a target file where all floors will be combined
2 - Use Plan --> Add level to make as many levels as needed.
3 - Open your first source file and select everything with CTRL-A, then copy it with CTRL-C
4 - Switch to your target file, select the correct level and paste everything with CTRL-V
5 - Repeat step 3 and 4 for the other files/floors.

Re: merge many files in one?

thanks! didn`t try ctrl-a, I simply tried selection and that wasnt working.

I noticed however that a few furnitures didn`t take the import correctly, like a few werent in the right height (computer hanging in thin air for example) and others had lost their textures. But thats ok, I was about to redo a few of them anyway ;)

I also try with différent compas, but it doesn't work too.

Re: merge many files in one?

Download the plug-in tutorial (PDF).
Install and use the RotatePlan plug-in.
