Duplicate Furniture

Hi, I have a problem with my personal Furniture Library, created using Furniture Library Editor 1.8 exe. All the objects I have imported are duplicates, whilst the base furniture only appears once. I've opened the file as a zip, and there is no sign of duplication there.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Duplicate Furniture

You probably save the library under an other file name before importing it again.
Go to the folder where SH3F files are stored and remove the oldest SH3F file:
- under Windows Vista / 7, this folder is C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\furniture,
- under Windows XP and previous versions of Windows, this folder is C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\furniture,
- under Mac OS X, it's the subfolder Library/Application Support/eTeks/Sweet Home 3D/furniture of your user folder,
- under Linux and other Unix, it's the subfolder .eteks/sweethome3d/furniture of your user folder.

Re: Duplicate Furniture

Brilliant, that's got rid of most of them. So when one imports a furniture library it is copied to your furniture folder, and the result is a concatenation of all the sf3f files in that folder.

Many thanks.

It's a little more complicated than that: objects in a SH3F file can have an ID, and only one object with a given ID can exist in the catalog.
But as the default version of the Furniture Library Editor can't let you edit the ID of each object, the behavior you noticed is actually right. smile
