Again about transparency

I know this topic has been managed several times, but I have a very strange problem: when importing obj or dae objects, the transparency of materials seems to be appropriated according to given value in 3d view but is very attenuated in the final rendering. In other words, with d 0.99 (almost full opaque) the object is shown as completely transparent in final rendering... COuld you please give me a suggestion?

Thanks
M.

Re: Again about transparency

You should use a darker color for the object too. See this thread for examples.

Re: Again about transparency

Well, I tried with fully black material(instead of gray glass), but the transparence is not really sadisfing me, it seems to be just a shadow on the back objects... In my case, I saved as collada or obj any of the following Ikea Besta object, with glass door:

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/detail...b2db508c8a99d448639c89784

But the results are very poor, even changing the d parameter (that is correctly generated by sketchup export engine) or changing the original material in several way: using colored or fully black.

Could you please tell me what's wrong? I'm spending my nights on it..

Many thanks

Regards
Massimo

Re: Again about transparency

Sorry, I did my best to make transparency work in SunFlow rendering engine, even if its last release didn't support it fully.
As users can import furniture from many sources, I don't think I can do better in a close future. If it doesn't satisfy you, I guess you'll have to export your home at OBJ format to render it in an other software, or give up Sweet Home 3D.

Re: Again about transparency

Well, just to avoid misunderstandings, I really appreciate your effort and your timely and effective support. Unfortunately I'm not professional user and I'm not deeply into the matter as well. I found your product very useful and easy to use compared with other sw like eg. Chief Architect. Thanks again.
