Catalogue vs "showrooms"

Repost from sourceforge.

Frankly, I am unsure whether the included catalogue should grow much. However, it might be a good idea to create sample .sh3d files with furniture - showrooms if you like. I very rarely add stuff to the catalogue, but I do put my self-made models in a simple building and copy and paste. And, should anyone be interested, I don't mind sharing my home-made models with people who cannot be bothered to design their own furniture.

Anyway - thanks for a very useful tool. I could probably have built my extension in the time I have spent using sh3d to contemplate the perfect design :-) ...

PS. The stuff I design, is primarily Scandinavian chalet wooden furniture and roofs/windows etc - useful for me, but hardly worth cataloguing...

Re: Catalogue vs "showrooms"

Hi,

Frankly, I am unsure whether the included catalogue should grow much.
Basic objects are available but there's always some missing objects. I think that many objects that would help a layout to look more real like household appliances, food, plants, books, clothes, animals,... are missing.

it might be a good idea to create sample .sh3d files with furniture - showrooms if you like.
You can submit some sh3d files in the gallery, but be sure that it uses only freely redistributable items (3D models as well as texture images).
