3d model alterations?

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove portions of a 3d model downloaded from the warehouse to sketchup before exporting it to Sweet Home 3d. I want the blackberry fruit without the vine :)
Thanks

Re: 3d model alterations?

Of course that is possible.
- Install Sketchup
- Open the model
- Edit the model any way you want
- Export it as Collada/DAE model that SH3D can use.

Re: 3d model alterations?

I have sketchup but I have tried everything to try to figure out how to delete or erase part of a model. I have figured out how to tilt and angle but not get rid of sections.
Could you be a bit more specific?
Thanks

Pressing Delete keys or cutting didn't produce any effect?
Nothing in Sketchup help itself?

Re: 3d model alterations?

It will depend on the model how best to approach deletion. You could try to explode a group/component (similar to ungroup in SH3D).
