Starship Enterprise 2nd Walk-Thru
And here is another slightly longer walk-thru featuring the transporter room, sickbay, the O.R. Doctor McCoy's office and the lab. Most of this is still very rough. I work a little at a time jumping around from one part of the ship to another. I'm starting to wonder if and when I'll run up against the limit of what the program can do. Link to video

Re: Starship Enterprise 2nd Walk-Thru
Thank you. It's a lot of work. I have 3 computers, but I have trouble getting Sweethome3d to run on two of them. One refuses to run it altogether (Dell Dimension 8400 running XP) another runs it but some of the features won't work (Dell GX270 also running Xp) The 3rd computer is my laptop running Vista and it runs it fine, but renders Sloowwwllly.

Re: Starship Enterprise 2nd Walk-Thru
If you like then do a small tweak to speed up rendering. Go to SH3D installation folder : "C:\Program Files\Sweet Home 3D " create a new file : "SweetHome3D.l4j.ini " Add following lines : -Xms320m -Xmx768m -Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.PhotoRenderer.lowQuality.antiAliasing.min=0 -Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.PhotoRenderer.lowQuality.antiAliasing.max=0 -Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.PhotoRenderer.highQuality.antiAliasing.min=0 -Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.PhotoRenderer.highQuality.antiAliasing.max=1
Save the file and Re-render to see the result. * .ini is the extension format of the file. -Xmx768m : is the Maximum Memory to be used that depends upon your computer RAM. -Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.PhotoRenderer.highQuality.antiAliasing.max=1 : is the antialiasing to be used in high quality. Default for minimum 1 and maximum 2 in high quality rendering. Higher value slow down the rendering time but gives quality.
