There's a couple of ways to do it.

The easiest way is to use the Box model found in the Furniture list under Miscellaneous. Then just size it to what you need.
Personally, I've found that texturing the Box model didn't give good looking results, in my humble opinion. biggrin

Another way, albeit a little more involved, is to create a new level at the same elevation, set the elevation to 1" and set the floor thickness to 3" (to account for the 4" floor in the default elevation) plus the depth of the step. In other words, if you want a 6" step up, create the floor thickness at 9".
Then build a wall across the room in front of the step up. Then create a room and delete the wall.
Since, in my opinion, floors texture better than the Box model, you get a better looking result.

Of course this depends on what you texture the floor with. If you just paint the floor I guess the Box model would be OK, but I like to use textures for floors.

Other, more experienced users, may have better options. smile
