Multiple floor elevations and identifying non-room areas
Hello. I have two questions... 1. I have a simple floorplan for a one-level home. However, two rooms have dropdowns, so the floors in those rooms are 8" lower than all the other rooms. Can that be included in the plan? Somewhere in the Forum, I saw a thread to which hansmex responded. (Sorry, but I could not find it again.) I think he said you must add an 8" box raising the floors in all the other rooms. Is that correct? He also said he would send a tutorial on the topic. Where can I find that?
2. My floorplan includes hallway areas that I did not create as rooms. Rather, these are the spaces between rooms. How do I identify these hallways so that I can add floor and other treatments?

Re: Multiple floor elevations and identifying non-room areas
Hi spluongo Depending on which is the larger, low sections or high, you can either add a level, plan>add level, then double click on its tab and set its elevation to -8" for the lower area's or add a level +8" for the rest of the house. "Room" actually refers to any area where you require a floor and ceiling, so hallways would need it too, try these links youtube links link link link link link
