How can I modify an entry in Dimensional Lumber library, and save the modification as an addition so that the original remains, using Furntiture Library Editor?

When placing a piece of lumber from Dimensional Lumber on the 2d Plan, for example a 2"x4"x8', the 4" side is on the flat plane. How can I re-orient the lumber so that the 2" side is on the flat plane?
