Re: Furniture Library Editor released

The derived version works well, but i'm leery of those icons. Yuk!

Would be great if the light editor would draw where the light source is in relation to the model, using the XYZ we enter. I love the fact that i can adjust the color right there!

Re: Plugin for input-output methods

Would you be able move the mouse input methods to a class/subclass that can be accessed from a plugin in an upcoming version? Or does Java not allow the mouse actions to be a variable, for lack of a better word?

Plugin for input-output methods

I think i may be able to develop a plugin to answer some of my own wishes. After looking thru the classes, i'm looking for one in particular -- the keyboard shortcuts and mouse inputs for various actions in SH3D.

What is the package i would be working with? (Is there even one that can be ...

Re: Inserting steps and staircase

I hate the learning curve of most 3D programs, as they have a lot of features (and the accompanying GUI) that i dont use. Blender is the worst of the free ones, but AoI is the easiest. It's still a little hard to get used to, but it has a simple interface (altho no support).
Still, AoI is tried and ...

We used to not be able to do this, but a few versions back, Puybaret added floor levels (layers) so you can have differently elevated floors. It's not ideal, but layers answers many other problems as well.

I have a living room which is 1' below the main level. I created this as its own "level" (yes ...

Re: Different kinds of Ceilings

Ceilings are not a specialty of SH3D, but you can create individual pieces for your ceilings.

There is also a plugin which multiplies a shape you create so you can cover a ceiling.

For immediate use, i just use good textures to give ceilings character. If you're doing a ceiling analysis though, or ...

Can you link to the version history of the FLE? I'm not finding what's new with the latest version?

Re: Options to recover corrupted files

Maybe there can be an option for the File Recovery function to LIST the differences in the corrupted file and that of it last saved version.
Users should be made aware of what would be lost with recovery...

Re: Multiplier plugin

This is a wonderful intermediate workaround until we get a standard feature in SH3D (as I wished for here). I intend to be using this alot, and hope you keep perfecting it! [B-)]

Unlit Textures
I would love to be able to flag any texture of a surface or in a material as "unlit" — that is, unaffected by the lighting algorithm and showing at its normal brightness in the 3D View.

I need this feature to show TV screens, elevator buttons, and appliance readouts that are lit ...
