On the shd3 homepage are quite a few libraries of furniture etc you can download

When rendering the photo in sh3d, move the image quality slider to the right (best). This rendering will take a little longer, but will give you a better quality photo

Click on the object, Then click modify furniture and tick the box mirror image, that should give you a different direction opening.
