Newbie help, please

I am testing Sweet Home 3D as someone who has never really used a design program. As such some of the basics are tripping me up and I'm not finding the answers in the FAQ.
1. How do you change the direction of door swing from inward to outward?
2. How do you rotate the placement of object e.g. bathtub?

While I haven't gotten to this part yet, my ceiling slopes from one side to the other so i may as well ask now how to address this.

The answer to your first question is in the FAQ How can I change the opening side of a door or a window?

To rotate objects around their vertical axis, double click on it and change its angle (read also the help about editing furniture for other shortcuts).

Click on the object, Then click modify furniture and tick the box mirror image, that should give you a different direction opening.
