AT C:>users>(me)>AppData>Roaming>Sweet Home 3d> recovery
There is no .recovered file there.
What else can I try?

Menu and tool bar disappeared
A drawing I have been working on and modifying no longer shows the menu and tool bar. I cannot find any way in the documentation to toggle them back on. If I start the app in an attempt to create a new drawing (so I can cut and paste from the old one) that would presumably show the menu and tool bar ...
