How can i do an american bar?

I plan to destroy most of a wall between my Kitchen and my lounge then use the remain to build an american bar on it.
Shall I use the wall heigh option or shall I import an bar object (if any).

You can make a hole in the wall at the desired place with a service hatch or a transparent box you can import.
