How to add colour to walls and flooring

hi there, just downloaded sweethome3d and am working on a remodel but i dont have a full tool bar and thus i cannot add colour to walls or floor finishes, what should i do?

There's no icon in the tool bar to modify colors.
Please read the user's guide and/or help to do these basic operations.
