Mac OS Java update breaks SH3D?

Friends, I started using SH3D last week and have had a fantastic experience ... until today, when I noticed that the application no longer runs. Previously I'd installed SH3D version 4.1 on my MacBook Pro running OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), and it worked like a champ. Today when I tried to start the application I noticed that the splash screen was blank, and when the main application window appeared it too was blank. Eventually I tried re-sizing the window, which did cause the floor plan and other panels to appear, but the application hung at that point. I'm able to repeat this behavior.

The only thing that I can figure is that SH3D doesn't like Apple's latest update to the JDK, which I did install a few days ago. Anyone have other ideas?
