Even though you made these models yourself, the copyright on their design rests with IKEA.
I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that you may run into trouble when profiting from their design.

I also seem to remember that Puybaret wrote a few years ago that IKEA isn't particularly happy when people copy their design.

Sorry, but after reading the mails exchange I had with executives at Ikea, you'll easily understand that you can't hope more advertising than the link you posted. [:(]

Their choice is astonishing since big distributors as the “Maison du Monde ”remunerate computer graphics experts 3D to carry out their products which are then shared with the whole world on “3Dwarehouse ”.

The advantages of sharing files 3D under various software are:

1) To gain new customers professionals who use other software that “IKEA home planner ”.
2) To be to the forefront of technology by allowing the impression 3D of their products.
3) To have a Free Publicity all owing a greater notoriety.

As I am admiring of their company, I have write a mail asking for an authorization for my activities and I still do not have an answer.

If it is necessary to make petition for the convaincres which it is urgent to share their products in 3D with all the software of the trade, I would do it.

If they are opposed nevertheless to my activities, they will be necessary me for it to say so that Iimmediately stop sharing the products 3D which I modelled for them.

My only goal is that all the world is winner.

I believe the same thing as you, but IKEA invested a lot in their own 3D tool and they probably prefer to keep a full control on their 3D models.
At the opposite, you find so many IKEA 3D models on Trimble Warehouse and elsewhere, that I would be astonished they are not aware of it. If ever it goes too far, maybe they will require their removal for copyrights infringements. Nevertheless, they should state their choice more clearly.

Please, keep us informed of their answer.
