Display dimensions in inches only?

It's been three years, nearly four now, since this subject matter was posted and I'm curious if any changes have been made since then to add the ability to change the ruler from feet to inches. While some previous posters may have been slightly rude in their answers, it is an extremely important feature for those of us in the U.S. who don't use metric or who have a project that requires precise inch measurements rather than feet. I'm currently redesigning a small (7'x7') laundry room where eight inches here, ten and a half inches there, another two inches over there for wiggle room makes a big difference in whether I can put a sink between a washer and dryer or if I have enough room to place a whole new set of cabinets.

Please tell me the designers of this software have taken this into account in the past four years. Otherwise I'll have to look elsewhere. Thank you.

Since version 4.0, there are two options for Imperial system: Foot/Inch/Fraction and Inch/Decimals.
Hope this will satisfy your needs. [:)]

I would like an inches-only option because some fields require an entry in inches (e.g., 135"), but other fields only display feet/inches (11'3", instead of 135"). I'm constantly having to convert between the two in my head.

I wonder what fields you're talking about. All the fields used to enter a length should accept inches only or feet and inches when Foot/Inch/Fraction unit is chosen in the preferences panel.
But, if you want only inches you could also select Inch/Decimals unit in the preferences.
