furniture color disappears and odd symbol on furniture

Hi -- I am new to the program, so forgive any dumb questions. The color disappeared from just a couple of pieces of furniture and the furniture is now white with a clock-like symbol on it. What's up? Thank you in advance!

This was really lame -- I wished I could have pulled this question back! The plan had not loaded properly. When I closed it and opened it again, it loaded correctly and everything was fine. The little clocklike symbols are the symbols you get when something is loading. Mine had just somehow frozen mid-load. I could edit, etc, it just hadn't come up 100%.

Maybe not so lame. It's quite possible that this topic could help someone in the future that might have an issue like this.
