Exploration Day 01 : After 10 km, first stop for the night at the edge of Ares Vallis (the feet are placed).


Samples have been made and stored for later analysis.

Each module has its own fuel cell.
The solar panels are present for refilling.

Taytay Crater is an impact crater in the Oxia Palus quadrangle of Mars, located at 0.37° N and 19.65° W along of Ares Vallis.
Near martian equator, temperatures are sweeter.
It is 18.4 km in diameter and was named after Taytay Philippines.

Technical
You can see on pictures parts of living with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and lot of storage in the survival module...
External walls (like a reverse fridge) take the cold and produce inside a sweet temperature.
All used water is recycled.
Like silicon for solar panels, green interior walls produce some oxygen and ground and ceiling can absorb CO2... [=D>]

Ambience
So for moral, green remembers Forests on Earth. [=D>]
Once per week, crew can contact his family on Earth.

After a hard day of travel (17 kms done), the expedition stopped for their second night.
Withdrawals are made on the ground and archived.

1. Sand of Ares vallis
2. Dunes of 'old' sand
3. Alluvial hills
4. Mountains

It's the third point which tell us that objective is not far. [:)]
