User interface issue

hi,
i just downloaded the Sweet home program (off Amazon) and i have the latest Java patches (Java version 8, update 121), however, the user interface for Sweet Home is illegible. The text is tiny, and the boxes (panes) texts are all tiny and i can't directly input the dimensions of walls/objects. Any ideas?

i have a screenshot, but i can't figure out how to upload an attachment here..

Hope the suggestion of the FAQ Texts in the furniture catalog are not displayed correctly or icons in the toolbar appear very small on my computer. How can I fix that? will help you.
