Can't Run, Can't Uninstall

I installed Sweet Home 3D and it never worked for me. (That "fatal error in the 3D rendering system," on Windows 7 with all graphics drivers fully up-to-date.) So I tried to UNinstall, that that doesn't work either!

I followed the (trivial) directions at http://www.sweethome3d.com/faq.jsp. Now the program is gone from Windows "Programs and Features" in Control Panel, and I've manually hunted down and deleted its associated Registry keys. But it's still there, still starts (and crashes with that 3D rendering error), and left all sorts of detritus behind (Start Menu item, Desktop shortcut). HOW CAN I GET RID OF THE SOFTWARE REMNANTS?

(I have tried reinstalling the software and uninstalling again, in case there was something messy last time, with the same results.)

Strange, uninstalling Sweet Home 3D is supposed to remove icons first. Maybe you tried to install the program using different ways or versions?
Anyway, deleting icons from the Start menu or the Desktop can be easily done with contextual menus under Windows.
