Well, my old 2-core laptop runs v4.3 fine - just very slow - and I can even view "top view" for Furniture Icons in Plan in that.

However, v6.1.2 and v6.3 has the Furniture Icons in Plan option greyed out and only displays "catalog icons". I've had that problem on both the old 2-core laptop and the "new" 4-core "media machine".

It's a little bit slow but is fully functional(SH3D).

From my side it took me a few years to understand that.

The package versions have always worked well in the past and I'm just used to doing dpkg for anything I want to install.

So: I finally got around to doing what you told me to do and installed SH3D 6.3 via the file from Sourceforge - and it fixed the problem. I now no longer have the option greyed out and I can view "Top View".

Some other time that's not so late at night, I'll carry on through the instructions for the library editors.
