A clay render is a render in a basic, uniform material. (I didn't know that, but my friends at Google do...).

Normally, YafaRay has an option to make a clay render by temporarily replacing all the materials in a scene with the same color.
Here I did it manually in a copy of the project.

This makes it possible to better understand the modeling and lighting.
