Hello,
normally when you draw the dimension line, you have a color change when you are perfectly aligned. If you change afterwards the wall length, you need to delete and create again the dimension line if you want to use this again.

There's also a faster solution: when the dimension lines creation tool is active, just place the mouse pointer along a wall side and double click to create the matching dimension line. See also this video.
