Delete background image

I've been trying to solve this for some time and I've read all the posts here I can find. Every time I create a new level, it has a background image automatically. How do I stop this behaviour?

A level uses the same background image as the previous level if they are at the same elevation. If you change its order with the arrows at the right of the levels table shown in the Level modification dialog, it won't display it anymore. You could also change its elevation adding a very small value like 0.001 cm.

I'm actually thinking it's not a background image, but more like some sort of waterwark. I have two levels with a background image, which covers the watermark. I'f I hide the background image, then I can see the watermark.

Could it be shadow lines of walls on other levels you are seeing is it?
