Restoring Plan view furniture

I have somehow got my plan view with the stairs and roof displaying in a box - how do I restore the original view ?
Also - How do I post images on to this forum - I have tried using enhanced mode and can only link from external sources

Not sure to understand what you mean by a "box", moreover in the plan view. Please explain better.

You can post images with a link or host them on a server and reference them in [img] tags. But caution, many foreign server don't let you reference images this way and you should preview your post to check how it renders.

You should probably select the Top view option in the preferences pane.
