Ability to automatically annotate each wall with its length.
Ability to set the scale for the diagram as 1" = 10 feet, or whatever, so that when I print the schematic (printing is not working for me right now), I can measure it with a ruler from paper and know the dimensions.

On your second part: If you go to "File - Page setup" its possible to set a scale. Isn't that basically the second point you mentioned?
