What do you mean by "3D ceiling"?
By default a room already has a (flat) ceiling. Anything different like molding or lowered sides/bordes requires additional objects.

If you modify the room you can set a texture for the ceiling.
Double click the room to modify it. If you select multiple rooms you can right click for a context menu and choose "modify room", or after selecting multiple rooms press ctrl+alt+e
