Change Door Swing?

I know this is probably something simple I am missing, but I need to know how to change the direction a door swings.

Double click on the door, and select Mirrored shape in the modification dialog.

Is there a way to draw it open rather than closed in the 3d view?

No but there are some fully open doors on Google 3D Warehouse.
