Magnetism and fractions of an inch

Someone else posted about using cm instead of mm -- and the solution was to zoom out.

I'm working in feet/inches and I have the same problem of starting a wall at a fraction of an inch. It is tedious to go back and modify the wall to place it accurately.

Am I missing something but are the coordinates of the cursor not displayed? This would help if I knew that my cursor was exactly 3' 0" from a reference point instead of 3' 3/8"

Since I'm a noob, am I just not seeing it?

Zooming out doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Purchased the Windows version and sent a donation. The 3D view was essential for my wife and I to understand our floor plan. Really showed us some bottlenecks. Thanks again.

When I want a size to be exact, I use the create dimensions tool.



First I pick one wall, if I want to change vertical I pick the wall at the horizontal, if its horizontal, well I pick vertical. Let me show you an example.



In this I pick the vertical one then would use the create dimensions. I would zoom in the image, put my cursor on the wall I want to check, in this case the horizontal one and move the vertical wall, with the keyboard arrow till I get my 8'8" size.

They might be an easier way to do this, but for me this work very well.

Yes, very helpful... thank you. I've quit using it for CAD and just stick with the quick 3D renderings.
