Problem with connected walls

Hi,

I'm just learning sweethome. I have a problem with connected walls. I want to connect walls in two versions:

2. second I want connected walls in different thicknesses, so that the right side is even with each other, not in the middle.

You can't connect in a T. Just extend the vertical wall to the center of the horizontal wall.

2. second I want connected walls in different thicknesses, so that the right side is even with each other, not in the middle.

Connected walls with different thicknesses will always connect in the center.

Walls are special objects in Sweet Home 3D with special properties that other objects don't have. Specific to your problem is that almost everything concerning walls works with the center line of the wall. Draw a square of walls and the length of each wall is measured between the points where the center lines connect.
There have been many discussions about this behaviour but there are technical reasons for the way it works.

For most situations it is not neccessary that walls are connected. Draw them so they touch and the result is the same. The only advantage of connected walls is that connected walls move/stretch with the wall that is moved. It makes no difference for the construction it represents.
