My Mac saves a .mov video file of zero K

I have a project which works fine for saving very nice 3D pictures.
But for video, after processing the steps programmed, it saves a .mov file, but that file contains nothing (0 Kb).

Mac OS X 10.6.4 snow leopard on a macintel macbook pro 2.2 GHz and 4 Gb RAM.
I tried several times with various complexity tracks but I always get the same result.

Has anyone got the same problem ?
