on windows xp, all open file and save dialogs don not show

this mighht be a java only related problem,
on my windows xp, with java build 1.6.0_21-b07 installed
i had sw3d 2.5 running without a glitch, now with sw3d 2.6 it will not open any file related dialog (open or save) and print dialog works.
anyone has an idea as to what might solve the issue?

This might be a silly question, but are you signed in XP as an admin? If you installed without being an admin, it might have affected the write function. But I'm no expert, just throwing out ideas... [:)]

I would be really astonished that there's a difference between Sweet Home 3D 2.5 and 2.6 about this problem mentioned in the FAQ Sweet Home 3D hangs when I try to save my home. How can I fix this?
