Create objects from walls?

Post by s_koch »

Hi and good morning to all,

I am on a good way and created some simple objects from walls.

For example a half-round counterdesk.

But my question: does someone know an "easy" method to solve this:

when I use different colors for left and right side of the wall, I end up in the exported and reimported object with different "materials".
What is perfect, as I want to use different textures for the front and on the rear side of my counterdesk.
But on the top and on the ends, there are those half-and-half colors (or textures), what I can easily solve with an extra very thin wall at the ends.

But for the top, I need to create an object now - some kind of top-plate ("tabletop") what has this specific form of a half-round plate.

And so I search for an "easy" method to create such "top-plate" from the wall, or maybe from the object in a second step...

ups, just getting a phonecall, I try to show some screenshots
thanks !!!!

Make your walls just a few cm high and insert a room that acts as the counter top.
Export and import as furniture.

Many thanks again!
