how to hide furniture icons in 2d plan

I would like to print out the 2d plan of a room I've designed to turn in with a permit application. But, they need just the walls, object locations (with text labels) and dimensions.

How does one disable the icons of furniture in 2d plan mode?

You have two options:
- choose Edit > Select all menu item, then Furniture > Modify and unselect the Visible check box
- create a level at the same elevation in the plan menu, cut-paste furniture in that level and make that level unviewable.
