cannot read saved pdf file on another computer

I am having a problem with the pdf files generated my Sweet Home 3D.
I use the print to pdf function to create a pdf copy of my drawing and then use file manager to copy the pdf file to a usb stick.
Problem is if I go to the usb stick and open with adobe reader I see the pdf image correctly. However if I remove the usb stick and then re-insert it I get an error message to say that the file could not be read because the file is not the correct type or the file has been damaged.

I have tried this on 2 different installations on 2 separate computers and with 2 different usb sticks and the problem is still there.
Can anybody help me please?

Strange issue. Did you check whether the date or the size of your PDF file changed once you opened it with the reader? That could mean that it modified your file and you'll have to find an option to avoid that or use another reader.

I have checked and both the file size and the date are the same on both the original pdf on my computer and on the usb stick. The odd thing is that I can read from the usb initially but if i remove the usb and re-insert it i it does not read. I have also tried to open the file using microsoft edge pdf and it wont open.
I am using the latest version of the free program.
Could you possibly try to replicate what I have done and see if it works on your machine using win10
