brick walls under and above external window

How do I get the brick walls above the window to show ?
Or do I add a window to an already complete wall ?

If the window is smaller (read: less high) than your wall, the space below and above the window will show the wall.

Read the user manual or use Help to inform yourself of the vasics of SH3D.
