How to set distance for doors, windows, etc.?

I must be missing something, as this seems like an obviously necessary feature of any blueprinting software... but how do I set a specific distance for a wall or window? I can drag and slide, but that is really finicky. I need to be able to set a dimension between the door/window and a wall or another feature.
