Steel Texture? (Garage, Door, Countertop, etc.)

I cannot find something like a "steel texture". I know it is possible on screen to appear like steel, somehow, but maybe not the standard way with a pattern. It's more like the way that light reflects in long stripes.



In particular, I want to create a steel garage door, but there are also a lot of other items that could benefit from it. Has someone managed to do this well?

Try a search on Google with keywords like:
- seamless texture brushed steel
or
- seamless texture stainless steel
or
- seamless texture polished steel

You will have to experiment with lighting and shininess to obtain the desired reflection.

fabien-michel offers the very large and excellent AmbientCG texture library with 1500+ textures, among which many metal textures: https://github.com/fabien-michel/sweeth ... g/releases
For Sweet Home 3D the most fitting is the 256 or 512 library but if you insist on a high resolution texture you can also download the 1024 version.
Import the texture library: Menu > Furniture > Import textures library
The full list will be available in the modify furniture dialog when you modify materials.

Il y a un très grand choix de textures dont celles de métaux bien sûr.
Il faut juste se créer un compte et le téléchargement des textures est gratuit, à très peu d'exceptions près.
L'autre avantage important est que la très grande majorité des textures proposées sont sans couture.
