How do I flip the way a door opens from outside a room to inside?

Ed,

First, go to File --> Preferences and make sure Magnetism is checked.
Second, drag a door or window on the wall where you want to insert it.
Now, while on the wall, gently move it back and forth a little bit. You'll see that your door/window can snap into place in two ways, attached to the inside or outside of the wall.
Lastly, if the hinged side is on the right, but should be on the left, do a right-click and select Modify furniture and check the box Mirrored shape.
